Summary: A brief dialogue on how the ethanol industry’s mindset has evolved, and why, in the pursuit of high purity ethanol products.  We will review high level items that drive program development, topics that are easily overlooked, and some recommendations regarding how to approach this bold new market opportunity.

Bio: Bart Plocher is the Director of Quality Control for POET Biorefining.  He has served POET in several capacities, including the Director of Regulatory and Quality for POET Nutrition and General Manager for POET’s biorefinery in Chancellor, SD.  Prior to joining POET, Bart spent over a decade in the animal health industry.  Bart has leveraged that diverse background to help POET move into more mature compliance environments, which include purified ethanol streams for use in both pharmaceuticals and the beverage industry.
